Thomson Elementary is home to Kindergarten and Junior First students. The teaching staff subscribes to the philosophy that a quality early childhood education program includes principles of developmentally appropriate practices that recognizes young children's intellectual, social and physical needs.
Each year, every kindergarten student in the district receives a free bike helmet thanks to the Davison Area Youth Safety Committee and donations from local community service groups and the PTO.
Thomson is also well-known for its annual Winter Wonderland, a family event held each January that offers a night of crafts, food and fun at the school.
