Andrew Keller

 Reporter, WTOM-TV Traverse City, Michigan

Andrew graduated from Davison High School in 2004 under the guidance of then teacher Jason Carr. Andrew's passion for journalism began with his participation in DTV. During his three years at DTV Andrew produced many award winning stories. In 2003, he was even invited to cover the opening of the roller coaster Top Thrill Dragster at Cedar Point, in Sandusky, Ohio.

Keller attended Michigan State University and earned a Bachelor's Degree in Journalism. While in college he participated in three broadcast internships at WILX-TV, WSYM-TV both in Lansing and WJBK-TV in Detroit.

After graduation, Keller was hired as bureau chief for KQCD-TV in Dickinson, North Dakota. 

 

Autumn Perry

Reporter, WJRT-TV Flint, Michigan

Autumn graduated from Davison Community Schools in 2003.  She began her journey in DTV during her junior year. Soon after joining she began producing many award winning pieces, including a personal profile piece on the struggle of being a teen mother in high school.

Perry graduated from Michigan State University with degrees in Journalism and French.  While in college Autumn interned at WLNS-TV in Lansing and worked at WJRT-TV in Flint.

A year after graduating from college, Autumn got a job reporting at  WPDE-TV in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.  In 2008, she joined the news team at WCYB-TV. 

 

Nick Baker

 

 

Editor, Campbell-Ewald, Warren, Michigan

 

 

 

Nick graduated from high school in 2007.  After graduation, Baker began working part time for DTV.  He can usually be found helping with summer projects, but occasionally comes back to help with other events throughout the year. 

Nick graduated from Michigan State University in 2011 with a degree in Media Arts & Technology and an additional cognate degree in Business.  At MSU, Nick worked with the Sports Department, producing content for the big screen, the Big Ten Network and the internet.  Nick interned at CBS News in New York, working primarily for the show '48 Hours'.  A documentary he created aired on WKAR-TV in Lansing and many other public television stations across the state.  In fact, Baker won an EMMY for that production.

 

Julia Chan

Pursuing Master's Degree, University of California, Berkley   

Julia Chan graduated from Davison High School in 2004.  During her time with DTV, Chan produced many stories, several winning national awards.  Chan also earned a scholarship from the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences.

Chan graduated from the University of Michigan with a degree in Communications.  She worked as a news producer at WJRT-TV in Flint for several years and is now pursuing on a Master's Degree at the University of California-Berkeley.

 

Matt Smith

Reporter/Anchor, KVIA-TV, El Paso, Texas

Matt Smith graduated from Davison High School in 2005.  While he was in DTV, Matt worked tirelessly to lead the team.  He worked on many different stories and had the opportunity to interview pop singer Aaron Carter when he performed at Davison High School.

Smith graduated from the University of Michigan-Flint with a degree in Journalism.  While in college, he worked newsroom assistant/producer at WJRT-TV in Flint.  During that time he was also given the opportunity to report.  In 2009, he became a general assignment reporter/anchor at WVNS-TV in West Virginia.

  

Paul Gerke

Sports Reporter, WBKB-TV, Alpena, Michigan

Paul Gerke was a part of the DTV team for three years.  He often created humorous videos that the entire student body enjoyed. 

Gerke graduated from the University of Michigan-Flint with a degree in Communications with a focus on Media Studies.

While in college, Gerke began working as a production assistant at WJRT-TV in Flint.  During his tenure at WJRT-TV, he began the transition from someone 'behind the scenes' to an active role as 'on air talent'.  He co-anchored a weekly segment called Highlight Zone Jr. and filled in as sports anchor when needed. 

Zach Hall

 Photographer, Sports Information, Michigan State University       

Zach Hall graduated from Davison High School in 2008.  While a part of DTV, he led the team and earned several awards from the Michigan Association of Broadcasters.   

Hall is currently attending Michigan State University pursuing a degree in Media Arts & Technology.  He also works for the MSU's Sports Information Office as a photographer for many of the university's sporting events.

Robin Chan

 Production Assistant, WJRT-TV, Flint, Michigan

Robin Chan graduated from Davison High School in 2009.  He was an integral part of DTV for three years.  While in DTV, Chan was a self-starter who produced many stories and worked many, many hours on after-school events.

Chan is attending Central Michigan University and studying Broadcasting.  Currently, he is a production assistant at WJRT-TV in Flint.  


Mike McManaman

 Pursuing Law Degree, Cooley Law School, Grand Rapids, Michigan

Mike McManaman graduated in 2005 from Davison High School.  While a part of DTV, McManaman was part of many creative and humorous spoofs. 

McManaman graduated from the University of Michigan-Flint.  While in college, he worked as a production assistant at WJRT-TV in Flint.   While at WJRT-TV, McManaman started a popular segment called 'Highlight Zone Jr.' with co-worker Paul Gerke.   

Jordan Lange

  Production Assistant, WJRT-TV, Flint, Michigan

Jordan Lange graduated from Davison High School in 2007.  He was a big part of raising the bar for stories created by DTV.  Lange was also the creative genius behind the 'Peaches & Cream' skits that were very popular with all students.

Lange is currently a student at the University of Michigan-Flint.  He was hired in late 2010 as a part-time production assistant at WJRT-TV in Flint.

Hannah Hall

 Production Assistant, WJRT-TV, Flint, Michigan

Hannah Hall graduated in 2011 from Davison High School.  As a part of DTV, she was instrumental in gathering all entries to send off to the various competitions.  She also earned many state and national awards.  In fact, she was named the Michigan Interscholastic Press Association (MIPA) All-Student Journalist.

She is currently attending the University of Michigan-Flint.
