Andrew Keller

Reporter/Bureau Chief: KQCD-TV (Dickinson, ND)

Andrew graduated from Davison High School in 2004 under the guidance of then teacher Jason Carr. Andrew's passion for journalism began with his participation in DTV. During his three years at DTV Andrew produced many award winning stories. In 2003, he was even invited to cover the opening of the roller coaster Top Thrill Dragster at Cedar Point, in Sandusky Ohio.

After graduating high school, Andrew spent four years at Michigan State University, in East Lansing, MI earning a bachelor's degree in journalism. While in college Andrew participated in THREE broadcast internships. Two of them in the Lansing area (WILX and Fox 47), and one in the Detroit market at Fox 2.

Upon his completion of his bachelors degree Andrew was hired in Dickinson, ND as a bureau chief for KQCD-TV, a NBC affiliate.

 

 

Autumn Perry

Reporter: WCYB (Bristol, VA)

Autumn graduated from Davison Community Schools in 2003. She began her journey in DTV during her junior year. Soon after joining Autumn began producing and putting out many award winning pieces, including a personal profile piece on the struggle of being a teen mother in high school.

Autumn left Davison to head to Michigan State University, majoring in both journalism and French. While in college Autumn interned at WLNS and worked at WJRT-TV.

A year after graduating from MSU, Autumn found herself working in Myrtle Beach, SC (WPDE-TV) where she remained until joining the news team at WCYB  in August, 2008.  Autumn Has recently come back home to Davison where she works as a weekend reporter at WJRT-TV.


Nick Baker

Student at Michigan State University

Nick is currently enrolled at Michigan State University studying Media Arts & Technology, with an additional cognate degree in Business.  Besides attending classes, Nick is also an employee with the Sports Department at MSU, producing content for the big screen, the Big Ten Network, and the internet.

Though Nick graduated from high school in 2007, he was picked up as a part time employee by the district for DTV right after graduation, working primarily in the summer but coming back to Davison as need calls. He is a great asset to DTV whether it be with station maintenance, event supervision, or production Nick's well rounded education makes him an all-star in the district.


Julia Chan (DTV '04):   

Julia is a 2008 graduate of the University of Michigan with a degree in Communications.  She worked as a news producer at WJRT-TV in Flint for several years and is now working on her master's degree at UC-Berkeley


Zach Hall (DTV '08):       

Zach is currently a student at Michigan State University.  He also works for the school’s sports information office as a photographer during MSU’s sporting events while majoring in Media Arts & Technology.


Matt Smith (DTV '05):   

Matt started his college career at Grand Valley State University then transferred to the University of Michigan-Flint.  Matt worked as newsroom assistant/producer who also gets the opportunity to report at WJRT-TV in Flint.  Matt is now a general assignment reporter at WVNS in West Virginia.

Mike McManaman (DTV '05):    
Mike is a production assistant at WJRT-TV in Flint.  He works behind the scenes running studio cameras and acting as floor manager during newscasts and other studio productions. Besides working at WJRT Mike is studying industrial psychology at UM-Flint, and is applying for grad schools across the state.

Paul Gerke (DTV '05):  

Paul is also a production assistant at WJRT-TV in Flint.  He works behind the scenes running studio cameras and acting as floor manager during newscasts and other studio productions. Through working for WJRT, Paul recently started getting air time on Channel 12 filling in on weekend sports assignments and starting a weekly segment called "Highlight Zone Jr." with his longtime friend Mike Mcmanaman.


Robin Chan (2009) 

Robin was hired as a production assistant at WJRT-TV in Flint before he even finished high school.  Robin is working weekend at the station while getting a degree at CMU the rest of the week.  Robin joins his sister Julia as part of the Channel 12 team.
