    Students will begin a new unit titled Development of an Industrial and Urban America. The unit will cover the growth of industry in the United States leading to our role as an economic power during the late 19th and the 20th Century. Students will cover the role of entreprenuers such as Rockefeller, Carnegie, and Ford. Students will study the growth of labor's role in the industrial process as well as the changing face of the United States due to immigration and migration.

    United States Government News

    Students will begin a new unit titled Conceptual Foundations of Government. The unit will cover the basic concepts of democracy such as participation, compromise, equality before the law. Students will be introduced to the limitations dictatorships place on citizens. Students will study the role of self-interest and the common good within a democracy.
