Dear Parents,

Welcome to the start of a new school year.  I have been busy this summer preparing for the up coming school year, and I am ready to go.  I am excited to be part of the learning that will take place in our room this year.  Once again for your special needs students, the start of the school year will be a time of adjustment.  The first few weeks could be rough for you and your child.  Please do your best to have them in school each day as this will help with the adjustment. Feel free to call me and check up on your child if you feel it is necessary.  Let me assure you that I care for your child and will do my best to help them make the adjustment to a new school and for some to a new teacher as painless as possible. 

Please plan to attend the Siple Open House on August 31st from  from 4:30 – 6:00 p.m. with your child.  Our room is room number 10.  Open House  will be a time for you and your child to look around our room and school. 

At any time during the school year you may contact me through e-mail at swill@davisonschools.org, by phone at 591-5104 ext 110, by note, or my stopping in.  Please consider becoming a parent volunteer in our classroom.  Please take the time to visit our classroom web page.  The page can be found by going to the Davison home page, clicking schools, clicking Siple, and the teacher web pages.  We will need help planning parties, listening to students read, parents to go on field trips and other tasks.
