Great Start Readiness Program

  • Thank you for your interest in Davison’s Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP). The program is Michigan's state funded preschool program for eligible 4-year-old children. Teachers with backgrounds in early childhood education utilize The Creative Curriculum for Preschool.  The Creative Curriculum includes developmentally appropriate goals and objectives for children within multiple categories of interest: social/emotional, physical, cognitive, language, literacy, math, and science/technology.

Family income and risk factors determine eligibility for free preschool programming through GSRP. Families making over an established amount of income may be eligible to attend for a small monthly tuition fee; however, eligibility and prioritization guidelines are followed. Criteria for tuition and eligibility is established annually by the state.

We are now enrolling for our FREE 4 year-old preschool program for the 2024-2025 school year.  Please follow the steps below:

    Step 1

You must first fill out a GSRP interest form online by clicking on this link: GSRP Intake Form.  Your interest form will go directly to the GISD for review.  If you qualify and choose our Davison Schools GSRP program, your interest form will be forwarded to our Early Learning Office in order for us to get started with the process of registering your child in our GSRP program.  In Davison, we have GSRP programs at Central Elementary and at Cardinal’s Nest.

    Step 2

After we have received your interest form from the GISD, we will contact you to schedule an intake appointment. Feel free to contact us with questions in the meantime. Listed below are documents that you will need to gather for your intake appointment.
