Transitions

  • Helping disabled students transition to life after high school is a job the district's Special Education staff takes seriously. The school district's Transitions program helps students with disabilities build a network so they can move onto college or the work force and be a success as they progress into adulthood.

Transition planning begins when a student turns 14. Students are asked questions such as "What do you want to do after high school?" "Where do you want to live as an adult?" and "What type of activities and hobbies will you be involved in as an adult?"
