Safety and Security
The safety of our students and staff is our top priority at Davison Community Schools. Research consistently shows a correlation between school safety and student success. Students who feel safe at school are more likely to focus on learning, engage more actively in class and have better attendance, positive relationships and improved mental health.
District staff members are trained in ALICE protocols and a District Safety Committee meets regularly to review and refine safety procedures, including emergency preparedness, training and threat assessment protocols. All buildings have also been audited by Michigan-based school safety company Secure Environment Consultants (SEC).
