Enrollment Information

  • The registration process takes place at the school the child will be attending. If you are not sure which elementary school your child should be attending, please call the Superintendent’s Office at (810) 591-0801.

    When registering your child, please provide your child’s original certified birth certificate (issued from the county clerk’s office with the official raised seal on it), immunization records, and the following three proofs of Davison residency:

    Required - ONE proof of residency from category 1:
    1) PICTURE IDENTIFICATION: (A picture ID is required and can also be considered as one proof ONLY IF the current Davison address is displayed on the ID.)
    a) The parent/legal guardian’s valid driver’s license (which can be considered as one proof if the current Davison address is displayed on the license).
    b) The parent/legal guardian’s work ID badge (which can be considered as one proof if the current Davison address and current year is displayed on the badge).

    Required - ONE proof from category 2:
    2) UTILITY BILL: (At least one proof from this category is required.)
    a) A recent utility bill (dated within 2 months). The bill must be in the parent/legal guardian’s name and indicate that the utility service is being provided to the current in-district address. Suggested utility bills: Television (cable/satellite), internet, electric, gas, sewer, water or landline telephone.
    Please note: If all utility bills are paid electronically, print a copy of the bill/statement that includes the parent/legal guardian’s name and indicates “service provided to” the current in-district address.
    b) If a utility bill has not generated yet due to new residency, a “start-up” order from the service provider (or confirmation number from Consumers Energy: 1-800-477-5050) will be accepted temporarily.
    The start-up order must contain the parent/legal guardian’s name, be recently dated, and indicate service provided to the in-district address.
    Please note: If using this option as temporary proof, a copy of the first bill received from the provider will be required in the school office within 45 days from the student’s enrollment date.

    Required - ONE proof from any of the following 3, 4 or 5 categories - OR - A second utility bill from another service provider listed in category 2 above:
    3) BANK STATEMENT - LOAN/CREDIT/INSURANCE/TAX BILL:
    a) A recently dated (within 2 months) “monthly” bank statement or loan, credit, insurance, or tax bill that includes the parent/legal guardian’s name and current in-district address.

    4) PURCHASE/LEASE AGREEMENT:
    a) The purchase agreement must have a recent date (within 2 months) and contain the parent/legal guardian’s name and current in-district address.
    b) The lease agreement must indicate a lease period that falls in the school year and contain the parent/legal guardian’s name and current in-district address on the lease.
    If the student living in the home is not the lessee’s child, the lease must list the parent/legal guardian and child as occupants living in the home.

    5) EMPLOYMENT/SOCIAL SECURITY/FIA SUBSIDY/WELFARE CHECK STUB:
    a) A recently dated (within 2 months) employment, social security, or FIA subsidy/welfare check stub that includes the parent/legal guardian’s name and current in-district address.
    Also, please note: If you move from your current address to another in-district address, you will be required to provide three new proofs of residency (per the requirements noted above) in order to have your child’s record updated for future school mailings.
